Was it really July that I last posted? Damn! Anyway, DVD advertising;

A tagline for a new DVD called, simply, The Tortured: “SO SURPRISING AND SHOCKING, THE LAST SCREAM YOU HEAR WILL PROBABLY BE YOUR OWN!”

I guess I should start learning to review films like this, so that I can end up on publicity stuff, but what does it actually mean? This is the UK. I've witnessed Americans screaming in cinemas, but it's normally because they dropped some popcorn from the very small tubs that they've got from the foyer. UK viewers will just mutter "That's gross" or wince a little. The line suggests that you're sitting alone and screaming which is even more bizarre. If I'm watching a movie on my own, which is fairly regular given that my other half does not enjoy some of what i watch, I have a little laugh at things, if I'm lucky I might jump but can't say that I'd scream.
